The old Tipu schoolhouse is situated in the county of Viljandi, municipality of Kõpu, on the territory of the Soomaa National Park. The school has an interesting and diverse history. According to the management plans and development strategy of the National Park, municipality, village and county, the school is to become an environmental education center.

The organisation Tipu Nature School was founded with the aim of building a nature education complex, organizing environmental education events, supporting local initiatives and preserving cultural goods of the region.

We still have a long way to go, therefore we like to involve people in the process of extending the Nature School and let them take part in the organisation of events and programs.
